Okay, let me be honest with you here. I never used makeup brushes! I’ am also someone who rarely puts on a face full of foundation. So, I never found the need to own makeup brushes. I always used my finger to apply foundation LOL (who need brushes?). But a month ago I was invited to this ‘’Gala Night’’ and I heard that applying blusher, loose powder or foundation using makeup brush will create a more smooth and evenly flawless finish. So, I decided to give makeup brushes a try, and tadah! Found this adorable brush set in a capsule! unfortunately, the set don’t have specific brush for applying foundation TT but still this is probably the cutest makeup brush kit I’ll ever owned. Yay! What I love most is they are so easy to throw into a bag when I need to go somewhere and take up barely any space, hoping I can still get the same amazing results I would from long handled brushes that every human being owned except me. The brushes itself are housed in an acrylic capsule design which is so adorable, handy and hygienic at the same time.
How to use
- Turn the handle of the brush and push upwards, you can also adjust the size of the blusher and powder brush to your desired length.
- Use the big brush for applying Powder or blush
- Use the small hard brush for applying concealer, you can also use this for contouring your nose.
- And use the other 2 small brushes for applying eye shadow.
- Turn and push the handle in the opposite direction to get the brush back to its original position.
Overall Thoughts
Aside from the fact that this makeup brush set are super adorable, it is also hypoallergenic made non-irritating fur and 100% vegan high quality soft synthetic hair, that’s very suitable for those who have sensitive skin.
The brush set is exactly as described in photos, I find this very easy to wash and keep their shape no matter how many times I washed it, unlike more expensive brushes, the hair also doesn’t she’d. Just make sure that you wash them correctly, so they’ll last a long time.
These brushes aren’t going to replace your larger brush sets but they will make touching up your make up on the go much easier. For someone who’s a fan of larger brushes, it will takes a bit of time and lot of patience LOL to get used to adjusting the to the size of the brushes but for touch ups they are PERFECT!
In terms of using it, the face brush, it did apply my blush and loose powder just like any regular brushes do, but what I love more about this brush its insanely super soft! For the mini eye shading brushes, I didn’t do eye makeup so often but this work great as a blending brush for that smudged out kohl look. This shading brush works best with eye shadow application and creasing and for nose ridge contouring.
Final Verdict
Overall, I’m very satisfied with this squads set, this is one starter kit which wanderer should own, very handy and travel friendly. The only downside is no foundation brush included. But I highly recommended if you’re looking for a well-made travel brush set. It’s definitely worth the price!
